No Line On The Horizon, the new studio album from U2, will be released on Monday 2nd March 2009.

Written and recorded in various locations, No Line On The Horizon is the group’s 12th studio album and is their first release since the 9 million selling album How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb, released in late 2004.

Sessions for No Line On The Horizon began last year in Fez, Morocco, continued in the band’s own studio in Dublin, before moving to New York’s Platinum Sound Recording Studios, and finally being completed at Olympic Studios in London.

The album calls on the production talents of long-time collaborators Brian Eno and Danny Lanois, with additional production by Steve Lillywhite.

Well, at last they have confirmed the release date and confirmed the then working title as the official album title, “No Line On The Horizon”. Finally they put us out of our misery and announced it, there is also a chance that additional news regarding tracklisting or/and the single release date. I’ve also recently heard that U2 have been filming a video clip, probably the lead single. So, we’re getting closer and closer to the release of their first studio album since 2004′s How To Dismantle An Atomic Bomb. Plus I think the new single should be out next month.

You readers probably wouldn’t want to see the rants I dish out about what I hate and appreciating what I like, because it could get quite nasty, very nasty indeed, you’ll think that i’m some kinda maniac and plus it doesn’t matter what I think so thats why I want to know what your opinions of the worst and best songs this year are.

Well, one of the only vaguely interesting things on the news is the race to the White House, you’ve got Barack Obama and John McCain, will be interesting who becomes president, personally I want Obama to win, because he seems like a great leader, a great person at speeches and knows what he is doing. On the other hand, there is the 72 year old McCain, if he gets elected then i’m guessing the US will be stuck with a sort of George W. Bush government for another 4 years, and I don’t like George W. Bush much, I usually only care about the funny stuff he says and does. And there is Sarah Palin, who has been mentioned many more times than Obamas running mate Biden, shes quite funny in my opinion, I mean what the hell is she on about saying that she can see Russia from her home in Alaska (Or something similar to that), I laughed hard when I heard that. As for me, like I said before, I think Obama should be president of the US. As for me, I’m no political guru, far, far from it, im just some random guy (who lives in Australia) who absorbs stuff from the news on TV, I don’t care all that much about it but it just seems to get lodged in my brain, like a bullet, and I cannot seem to get it out. So thats why I resort to writing blogs at times, um, yeah. So turning to you who do you think will win the US presidential election and why?

So I was bored, I was desperately searching for some new “old U2″ to dig into as I wait for the new album. I went to the music store when I finally got my chance to buy something, before I went there I thought of buying Achtung Baby, an album that I heard got great and positive reviews from critics, although I had heard some of the tracks on YouTube, I wanted to see what the rest would offer. So I bought it, with a smile on my face expected it to please me, and please me it certainly did. As soon as I got home I ripped the CD on my computer and eagerly began listening, and it exceeded my expectations. The album was dark and atmospheric, something that I like in a good album. The album opener “Zoo Station”, apart from its weird and peculiar name it entertained me from the start, I never really heard a song like it ever before, it began with catchy distorted intro and got into Bono’s vocals which seemed tampered with in production, giving it an industrialised sound. After the kick start of Zoo Station the album went from strength to strength, featuring the classic “One”, the hard rock of “The Fly” to the energetic “Mysterious Ways” and ending with the incredibly dark “Love Is Blindness”, those were just some of the fantastic songs to come out of this amazing album, possibly one of the best of the 90s.

I’d be happy with some feedback and experiences with the album itself.

Note: My reviewing might seem amateur to you.

Usually all I ever hear about bouncers are that they inflict more damage than needed on misbehaving people at nightclubs.

I’ve heard a story on TV that some bouncers have been labelled “thugs” because that particular group have attacked people with no wrong-doing. Often bashing them or strangling or pushing them until the innocent citizens face is covered in blood, sometimes resulting fatally.

Do you think bouncers are too harsh? Or are they just thugs who used to be criminals themselves looking for a job where they can attack anyone with not being in trouble of some sort. Or in any unfair way?
